My name is Jana J. and I have lived in Beautiful New Bern NC for the past 16 years. I am originally from Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing. I have been a full-time Realtor since 1997. Prior to this career, I spent nine years in consumer product sales and sales management with Revlon. The last position I held relocated me to Atlanta, GA where I was District Sales Manager for the Southeast United States.

I relocated to New Bern, NC in 1994 and began planting the seeds for my real estate career. I took the required classes and passed the North Carolina Real Estate Exam for a Sales License and became a sales agent. I continued my education and later took and passed the NC State Broker's Exam. I grew up around real estate. My grandmother owned a real estate agency, so I had seen first-hand the dedication that was necessary to be successful in this business. I remember showing and previewing property as a child. It's in my blood!

Steve Tyson, knows the real estate market in New Bern and the surrounding areas. As a native New Bernian and a licensed Real Estate broker since 1979, Steve can assist you with your plans to buy an existing home. He is a licensed General Contractor since 1982 and has built and/or remodeled over 200 area homes, so he can help you determine if an existing home can be modified to suit your needs. Steve is also active in our community and serves on the Craven County Board of Commissioners, the New Bern Library Board, the Solid Waster Board, and the Civilian Military Community Council. He has been actively involved in fund raising for various charities including the Wounded Warriors.

Penny Stubbmann is a native New Yorker and moved to New Bern from Long Island 4 years ago. She is a 3 year member of the Tyson Group. Penny is a licensed real estate broker and The Tyson Group office manager. Having relocated to the area, she can easily relate to the decision-process involved in making a major move to a different area of the country. For that reason, Penny is able to put clients at ease with their relocation. She is available to answer real estate questions and to coordinate the paperwork associated with listing and selling homes. She can also schedule showings and provide feedback. She is the closing coordinator for our team and follows the process from contract to closing, including; scheduling a closing attorney/title exam, home inspections, termite inspections, repair requests, and more. She is proficient with computer and email skills. Penny also creates Photoshows of our listings and posts them to various websites and she controls the Multiple Listing input for our listed properties. Her friendly and approachable personality make her an excellent asset for our group! She is your best source of contact for our group and can be reached via phone or email. Toni Small is The Tyson Group Internet Liaison. Toni moved here from New Jersey several years ago and has since helped relocate her adult children to the area. She is a retired nurse, so has a very caring and attentive personality. When clients contact us via the Internet, as they often do, Toni will take the ball and go! She sends them links to properties, sets them up on auto-email updates for specific property types, aids them in making reservations at various lodging establishments, gets them answers to questions and does it all with a smile! Toni is a true asset to our group and to our clients!

 

Ruthie Tyson is The Tyson Group's "Southern Charmer". A native New Bernian, so ready to deliver good ole southern hospitality. Ruthie manages the Rental Division for The Tyson Group. Rivertowne Rentals, which has proven to be a major component of our Real Estate business. We offer clients the ability to buy or rent and offer property management as an alternative for home owners that need immediate cashflow. Ruthie is also the Group accountant. Ruthie also manages The Ziegler Suites which is the Tyson Group's hotel and inn offering nightly, weekly, or monthly lodging alternatives for person's relocating to the area. We offer Military and Senior Discounts and some pet-friendly options. All Real Estate Clients that work with The Tyson group also get a discount. Meet Recon Roscoe

Roscoe Tyson-

The  Tyson Group Mascot. He performs no useful function other than perhaps being the self-appointed waterfront expert for this area. He loves boat rides, swimming for sticks, and Roscoe is famous for being the Diving Dog. He will dive under water to retrieve any item you throw for him. He loves treats and loves people. He wants you to choose The Tyson Group as your next Realtors! KEEP THOSE TREATS COMING!
