Brice's Creek winds into this neighborhood and makes it a very beautiful place to live. Conveniently located to downtown (about a five minute drive) yet not in the city limits, therefore residents of this area do not pay city taxes. Boating and fishing are a favorite pastime. There are several waterfront homes as well as residential subdivisions off-water. Prices range from $200,000 off-water. And $400,000 to $1,000,000 on the water

DeGraffenreid Park


Located close to downtown and the Ghent neighborhood. Beautiful tree-lined streets and manicured lawns. You can expect to pay between $250,000 to $450,000 for these homes.

 

Trent Woods


The Town of Trentwoods is incorporated. Some of the areas nicest and most expensive homes are located here. Homes on the Trent River start at $850,000 and go up from there to well over a million dollars. Off-water homes start at around $150,000 and go up $700,000.  Wilson and Haywood Creeks waterfront from $400,000 to $800,000.

The town of Riverbend is incorporated and is located about 7 miles south of New Bern. Golfcourse Country Club and Waterfront community. The Trent River flows along the edge of Riverbend. A series of man-made canals offer relatively inexpensive waterfront living with easy access to larger bodies of water. There are many townhomes, single family homes, golfcourse and waterfront homes.

Located about fifteen minutes from downtown New Bern on the other side of the Neuse River. The only gated community in the area. Two 18-hole golfcourses three swimming pools (one indoor) a marina, 
full-service clubhouse and more. One of the most affordable areas for waterfront and golfcourse living.

Riverside is also on the National Register. A spin-off from historic downtown New Bern with a variety of homes in a wide price-range. Some fixer-uppers start as low as $125,000 with some beautifully restored homes bringing well over $400,000.








River Bluffs

This Neuse River waterfront community off US 70 East about 5 miles outside of New Bern. There are waterfront and interior homes as well as a handful of waterfront lots remaining. Homes start off-water at around $225,000 and go up to $1,000,000+ on the water.

Carolina Pines is about 11 miles east of New Bern off Highway 70. A golfcourse community bordering the Neuse River with a few waterfront homes. Prices start at $150,000 up to $950,000 0n the water.

It is predominantly a retirement community and mostly transplants as residents, so everyone is looking to meet new people. There is a real sense of community with a voluntary homeowner's association, a gardening club, a community newspaper, plus a clubhouse with a pool, tennis, and a deli,as well as a championship golfcourse. Tiger Woods played there.
